Our 14ga Corten Steel Hexagon Planters are a perfect decoration for indoor or out and are available in three standard sizes.
Corten steel is designed to develop a patina rust coating that will change over time and protect the metal underneath.
- Each planter comes with drainage holes to prevent water pooling and root rot
- Ships as polished raw steel that will rust if exposed to the weather
- Made in the USA

Corten steel: rust, patina & care
Will it arrive rusty? No. Corten pieces ship as raw steel and build their rust patina once they're outdoors. Rain and humidity speed it up.
Can I speed it up? Yes. Our patina & care guide shows how with household vinegar and salt.
Will it stain my patio? While the patina forms, runoff can carry rust onto concrete or pavers. Set pieces on gravel or soil, or use one of our matching trays, for the first season.
Does it need sealing? No. The patina protects the steel underneath. Sealing is optional if you want to lock in a color or use a piece indoors.
